Dear Community,

It is with transparency and an abundance of caution that Haus of Codec must announce the delay in opening our first shelter by one month. We have worked tirelessly to ensure the safety and stability of our first space, however there are structural issues and setbacks that need to be addressed before we can ensure that we are providing the safest space for our future tenants. The landlord of the building has now taken on the responsibility to address these amenities and guarantees that they will be ready for use on or before December 1, 2021.

We recognize the demand for shelter is increasing with the low temperatures and bad weather encroaching and we are working fervently to establish this safe space where youth (18 - 24) can gain access to shelter, food, clean water, and programming that can help them find more permanent housing solutions.

As the community has been our strongest supporter we felt it was our duty to be as transparent as possible as this process unfolds and we will continue to keep the community updated as we make progress in opening our doors. We are grateful for your support and understanding and we hope you will continue to support Haus of Codec during our infancy stages.
